Dr. Batya Goldwaser grew up in New Jersey and graduated with honors from Columbia University. She then earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and her Doctorate of Medicine from Harvard Medical School, making her one of the few oral and maxillofacial surgeons in the area that has earned both a dental and medical degree. In addition, she was selected for a prestigious research fellowship in minimally invasive maxillofacial surgery which she completed during dental school, and obtained early acceptance into residency based on her academic and clinical performance.

Dr. Goldwaser completed her six-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the top-rated Massachusetts General Hospital, where she was rigorously trained in the full scope of the specialty, with unique training in orthognathic surgery, implant placement, facial trauma, jaw reconstruction, nerve repair, and pediatric surgery. She is one of a handful of surgeons with specialized training in the use of minimally invasive endoscopic techniques to treat congenital and acquired facial deformities, salivary gland pathology, and traumatic injuries.

She is currently on staff at White Plains Hospital as well as St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, where she holds an academic appointment and teaches general dental, oral surgery, ENT and plastic surgery residents. Dr. Goldwaser has published multiple papers as well as textbook chapters on minimally invasive Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and facial trauma. She was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, American Medical Association, and the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Goldwaser holds active Dental, Medical and Anesthesia licenses, and is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Her exceptional training together with devotion to and compassion for her patients and their families, contribute to her reputation of providing the highest level of care.
